Belgica Excellence criteria

These are the criteria pages. Please read all of them carefully to maximize your chances for a good rating. Below you’ll find the pre-qualifying items your Award Program must meet in order to allow an evaluation to be started. After that please use the sub-menu above to guide you through the rest of the criteria.

Pre-qualifiers

As this a rating index it is only open for Award Programs (personal
    sites are welcome to apply for awards from our members – please
    view our member list for Award Programs which are more
    appropriate for this purpose).

Because we abide fully by the law there should be no warez, hacks
    or any other illegal matter present on either both AP or your main
    site.

Unfortunately, we cannot initiate a review if you are below 18
    years of age.

We believe very seriously in the award giving process and hence
    cannot allow awards of a give-away nature or where the
    application is done by guestbook entry.

Common sense expects that infringing on other people’s copyright
    is clearly never done. If material is not yours clearly written
    permission needs to have been obtained.

As the internet is a global medium, we feel that the Award Program
    reaches a wider audience if it is written in English or has a fully
    translated English version (we regret that computer translations
    are not allowed due to their inaccuracy).

To have the best overview of how an AP works, we prefer to see a
    winner in each level presented (with exception for SOTM’s or
    SOTY’s)

To allow an easy overview of the entire AP, we expect to see
    carefully crafted pages which are fully visible in an 800x600
    and 1024x768 screen resolution.
